Vinita Nair

In July 2004, she joined the station as a reporter and reported on a wide range of stories. These included the probe into the death of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair started her role as an ABC News anchor/correspondent in December 2007 with ABC News Now. In that role she was responsible for anchoring live reports and coverage for ABC's network on the internet. Nair also co-anchored World News Now on ABC since September 17 in 2008. until February 18, 2011 and America This Morning. In both of the shows, she was partnered first by Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. Nair made it clear to viewers on World News Now that she did not plan to appear in World News Now after Friday 18th February 2011. Nair also announced that Friday would be the day off as her last for ABC News. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver became her replacement immediately. In all three segments on World News Now's broadcast on February 18, Nair was honored by the former and present colleagues, such as Jeremy Hubbard.
